Board of Directors
The Board represents families and is an oversight group, providing strategy and support to furthering the mission and vision of Preschool of the Arts. The board approves PSA’s long term and annual goals, oversees the Executive Director, and monitors the financial management of the school.
Kristin Schmidt, President | Kristin is a community board member and has served on the board since March of 2018. She has recently fulfilled the role as Secretary and now as President Elect. She has vast board experience including; the YMCA (for 16 years) and Badgerland Girl Scouts. Her areas of interest are facilities and community engagement. | ![]() |
Noelle Warnock Al-Adra, Secretary | Noelle has 10 years of experience in education, both in teaching and administration. She has a Masters of Education specializing in Educational Administration and Leadership. Her daughter is a current PSA student. | ![]() |

Allison Carlson | Allison has served on the board since 2016. Her professional background is in planning, market research, and evaluation in the energy efficiency field. She has two children who have thrived in PSA’s nurturing environment. | ![]() |
Erica Gittings | Erica is a Partner at the largest family law firm in the country. Her background includes human resources, professional development, and organizational trust. Her son is a current PSA student, and her daughter will be starting in the fall. | ![]() |
Jim O’Brien, | Jim has been a member of PSA since 2016 — during that time on the Board of Directors he has served on the Technology and Finance Committees. His most recent position was as the former board president. Jim and Kristin have two children whom are alumni of PSA. Jim is the co-founder of Agrograph, an agricultural technology company based in Madison WI. | ![]() |
Ena Lee | Ena Lee and her family joined Preschool of the Arts in 2018. When she’s not in the dental office treating patients, she loves to travel, run, and swim. | ![]() |
Bethany Ackeret | Bethany served as a Senior Analyst in the City of Houston’s Finance Department, and has worked with the Development Departments of several non-profit organizations. She studied public policy and music. Her son is a current PSA student. | ![]() |
Chelsea Johnson, President-Elect | Chelsea Johnson is a new addition to the board this year. She is a Senior Recruiter for Exact Sciences and has spent the past 10 years working in recruiting and HR within various industries. Chelsea has a passion for community involvement and bringing people together. When she’s not recruiting or volunteering, Chelsea can found running around Madison and going on adventures with her four year old daughter and a two year old son who both attend PSA. | ![]() |
Kate Heaney | Kate joined the PSA community six years ago when her oldest child joined the Rainbow Room. Her youngest son just graduated. She has served on a number of boards, utilizing her background in fundraising and events. | ![]() |
Adam Templer | Adam has his Masters of Accountancy degree from UW-Madison and is a CPA who worked in public accounting and consulting at Deloitte and Baker Tilly for eight years. He currently serves on the executive team at Bear Real Estate Group as the vice president of development, a position he’s held for the last five years. His focus is on the financing, construction, and management of various real estate asset classes including multi-family, commercial, and hotels. He has two daughters that attend PSA. | |
Lindsey Jacobus, Staff Representative | Lindsey is the Educational Support Specialist at PSA. This is her second year on the board. | ![]() |
Zoe Wolfe, Staff Representative | Zoe is currently a co-teacher in the Silver/Orange Room loop and has been part of PSA’s community for nearly two years. She has a background in neuroscience and outdoor education and is currently working toward her Master’s of Early Childhood Education through the Erikson Institute. | ![]() |
