PSA Welcomes Paul Brahce as Interim Executive Director

After graduating from Western Washington University, Brahce began a 16-year elementary education career before becoming Head of School at The Little School in Bellevue, Washington. In 2007, Brahce was named Head of School at Madison’s progressive Wingra School where he served for over eight years before departing to focus more time on extended family. Brahce has since served in a part time role at Preschool of the Arts. “Paul brings a wealth of experience to the position,” said Preschool of the Arts Board President Josh Steiman. “We are all so excited to have someone with this level of experience and passion for young children and progressive education guiding our school during this time of transition. While we will continue the nationwide search for a permanent Executive Director, we feel great about Paul serving in this role for the immediate future.”

Brahce replaces outgoing Executive Director Stacy Mitchell who will return to Milwaukee after two years in her position at Preschool of the Arts to serve as Director of Early Childhood for the Harry and Rose Samson Family Jewish Community Center (JCC). “Stacy’s leadership has been an essential component to the success of our school and the amount of progress we have made under her direction is nothing short of astounding,” remarked Steiman. “Every child that passed through PSA has benefited from her presence. She is a visionary and will be greatly missed by all were fortunate enough to work alongside her.”
